What is digital signature?

 Nowadays, all government services are being received  by the people through "e- governance",  in which apart from PAN card, vote card, Aadhar card, there are many such certificates, for which you had to go to the government offices of your district, Like income-caste- residence certificate etc. Earlier these certificate were signed by the officials,  but now this act is being done by digital signature. So what is the digital signature , let's know- 


 

What is the process 

 Before knowing about digital signature, let's understand a  little about government system, earlier certificates were  prepared manually, in which applicant filled the application and required attachments in it and submitted it to the office, then his application was submitted. The level of scrutiny depends on the type of certification you have applied for. After verification, the certificate is returned to the office and it is signed by the competent authority and received by the applicant.         Hope you got the right answer
