What is GPS System?   The full name of GPS is Global Positioning System. GPS is usually a Satellite Based Radio Navigation System that is used to know the location. For example, if you are stuck in a problem, you can get help through the Emergenc Number. Which is in all mobile phones  these days. History of GPS   GPS was launched for the first time by the US government as a project for military purposes in 1973. The first satellite under this project was launched in 1978.At that time , GPS was to be  used by the US military to shoot down the aircraft of enemy countries and their military with precision.
